Haz-Mat Test: Shipper, Carrier, and Driver

Q.: What are the correct roles and their legal definitions where the transport of hazmat is concerned; that is – what are the differences between the shipper, carrier, and driver?

A.: Shipper – sends the products from one place to another; carrier – takes the shipment from the shipper to its destination; driver – makes sure the shipper has identified, marked, and labeled the product correctly.

Explanation: Study the proper roles and their definitions in the chain of hazmat transport. While these roles are sometimes confusing, questions concerning roles are all but guaranteed to come up in your hazmat endorsement test.
